What's this...? A journal...? As anyone might have noticed, my last journal was back in 2013, just after my GCSEs and... I've been pretty dead since then. A few things happened but I lost interest in dA and most of my artwork during that period was too bad (in my opinion) to be worthy of posting anything, most things posted during the recent period are either half-arsed or college work. But I thought it was time to write something and get that old post off the front page.
What I'm planning to do in my spare time is clean this profile up, I'm not planning on parting with this handle any time soon so I've got to pull out several dusters to make it all worth while. I'll probably be moving most of my old artwork, or just shoving it into folders because I don't want any past commissioners loosing their work. I'll be mainly posting my college work because that's what's been taking up my time and I feel that it's important to post too since it comes from my brain and hand as well. There will probably be some sketchbook work too, because my sketchbooks look pretty good and it's an insight into what I'm playing with. I will try to be more active and talkative, but I never seem to get many conversations unless I'm working for someone. Annnd I don't want to bore anyone!
Anyway, I've improved a lot recently and I'm genuinely feeling proud with where I'm going. I think my painting style has come a long and I really want to share my work. I'm planning several personal pieces but I doubt they'll come soon, so everyone will have to put up with roughly painted landscapes until the 30th April. I'm hoping to start talking to people online and looking into game art/working with people to maybe get my name out a bit more, I think I'm actually worthy now. And if I'm gonna get a BA in Games Art, I might as well start trying!!
I'll probably start posting streams, speedpaints and wips too. However I'm much more active on my tumblr
, but bewared there are a lot of personal posts and random junk that I've reblogged. Also, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. A lot of that too.
I'll talk to you all soon!!
